This Privacy Policy explains how Choppli (the “Operator”) handles information in connection with the Reality Logout smartphone application (the “App”) and its related website (the “Website,” and together with the App, the “Service”).
“Personal Information” means information about a living individual that can identify a specific person through a name or other description, information containing an individual identification code, and other information treated as personal information under Japan’s Act on the Protection of Personal Information. This Policy uses “User Information” as a broader term that also includes advertising identifiers, cookies, access information, and similar data that may not identify a person on its own.
The App stores the following information on the user’s device in response to the user’s actions:
The App does not transmit these records or settings to a server operated by Choppli. Information handled in connection with advertising, the external contact form, or a sharing action initiated by the user is treated as described in the applicable Articles below.
When the Google Mobile Ads SDK is used, Google collects and shares information including IP addresses (which may be used to estimate approximate location), interactions with ads or the App, crash logs and other diagnostic information, and device or other identifiers such as the advertising ID. The App does not request access to precise device location.
When a user accesses the Website, information such as the IP address, browser and device type, operating system, access date and time, referring URL, pages viewed, and terms entered into the Website’s search function may be transmitted to the web server and recorded in access logs.
When a user contacts us by email or through the contact form, the Operator receives the message, report, request, and information voluntarily provided, including a reply address where provided. Users should not enter passwords, authentication credentials, or other confidential information.
User Information is used for the following purposes:
The App’s break history, statistics, and settings are generally stored on the user’s device. When the Android home-screen widget is used, information needed to display the widget, such as a mission title and duration, is stored in the widget’s on-device storage area.
If notifications are enabled, the App schedules notifications on the device according to the settings selected by the user. Notification permission and display behavior can be changed in the device settings.
When the user activates the App’s sharing function, share text containing the selected mission title and break duration is passed to the device’s sharing interface and sent to the app or service chosen by the user. After it is sent, the information is handled under the terms and privacy policy of the selected service.
The Website may use cookies or similar local-storage technologies where necessary for WordPress functions such as maintaining login status and for operating or administering the Website. A cookie stores information that identifies a browser; a cookie alone does not identify a user by name.
Users can restrict or delete cookies through their browser settings. Disabling cookies may prevent some Website functions from operating correctly.
Website access information is used only as reasonably necessary to provide the Website, investigate failures, and protect against unauthorized access.
The App uses Google AdMob, provided by Google LLC, to display banner ads on Home and History and optional rewarded ads initiated by the user. When the reward is granted, banner ads are hidden for 24 hours and the expiration time is stored on the device. Watching a rewarded ad is not required to use the timer or history. Ads require an internet connection. In connection with ad delivery, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may use technologies equivalent to cookies, mobile advertising identifiers, IP addresses, device information, ad impression and interaction information, and diagnostic information. Google may process this information for purposes such as ad delivery and personalization, performance measurement, fraud prevention, and service improvement.
Whether ads are personalized depends on factors including the user’s Google Account, device, region, and advertising settings. Users can review or change personalization settings through their device’s advertising settings or My Ad Center.
For more information about Google’s handling of data, please review How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services, the Google Privacy Policy, and the Google Mobile Ads SDK data disclosure.
You can contact the Operator by email or through Google Forms, as listed in Article 15. Email and form submissions are processed through the relevant service providers. Information entered in the form is provided to the Operator and is also processed by Google. If a user is signed in to a Google Account, account-related information and device or access information associated with use of the form may also be handled by Google in accordance with its policies.
The Website may display sharing links that take users to social networks or other external services. When a user selects an external link, the destination provider may receive access information or other data generated by that visit.
Information handled by an external service is subject to the terms and privacy policy established by that service provider.
The Operator does not provide Personal Information to a third party without the individual’s consent, except in the following circumstances:
Information handled through Google AdMob and Google Forms may be processed in countries or regions outside Japan where Google or its service providers operate facilities. Google’s Privacy Policy applies to Google’s processing of that information.
According to Google’s SDK documentation, data collected by the Google Mobile Ads SDK is encrypted in transit using TLS. This does not mean that all data stored on the device is separately encrypted by the App.
The Operator takes reasonable security measures, including limiting the information collected and controlling access where appropriate, to help prevent unauthorized access, leakage, loss, destruction, or damage involving Personal Information handled by the Operator.
Data stored by the App on the user’s device is affected by the security protections provided by the device and its operating system. Users should protect their devices with measures such as a screen lock and current operating-system updates.
Inquiries and Website access logs: The Operator retains these records only for as long as needed to respond to inquiries, operate and protect the Service, and meet applicable legal obligations. Information that is no longer needed is deleted.
On-device information: The App has no user accounts and does not synchronize break records or settings to a Choppli server. Locally saved history and settings remain until removed through device app-data controls or by uninstalling the App; changing a setting may replace its previous value. The ad-free benefit ends after 24 hours, but its saved expiration value is not necessarily deleted at that time. Operating-system backups and any restored copies are controlled by the operating system and the user’s backup settings.
Advertising and external-service information: Google controls the retention of data it processes under its own policies. Uninstalling the App does not itself delete data already held by Google. Please use the controls and policies provided by the relevant service.
A user who wishes to request disclosure, correction, deletion, or suspension of use of Personal Information held by the Operator may contact the Operator using the channel provided in Article 15 and describe the relevant information and request. The Operator will review the request based on whether the individual can be verified, whether the Operator holds the relevant information, and the requirements of applicable law.
Because the Operator does not hold the App records and settings stored solely on the user’s device, the Operator cannot inspect, correct, or delete that on-device data. Users may remove it through their device’s app-data controls or by uninstalling the App.
Information collected by Google can be reviewed, changed, or deleted using Google Account controls, device advertising settings, and other controls provided by Google, where available.
The App is intended for users aged 13 and older; it is not directed to children under 13. A minor who sends Personal Information through the Service should obtain the consent or assistance of a parent or legal guardian where appropriate. Users should not enter names, addresses, contact details, or other Personal Information in the contact form unless that information is necessary for the inquiry.
The Operator endeavors to provide accurate and safe information through the Service but does not guarantee that all information is complete, accurate, useful, secure, or suitable for a particular purpose. Break missions presented by the App are not medical care, diagnosis, or treatment.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Operator is not responsible for damage arising from use of the Service, the user’s device environment or actions, communication failures, or changes to or failures of external services.
External websites and services linked from the Service are operated by their respective providers. Each provider is responsible for its content, security, and handling of information. Users should review the terms and privacy policy of each destination.
Copyrights, trademarks, image rights, and other rights in text, images, illustrations, logos, screen designs, and other content made available through the Service belong to the Operator or the applicable rights holder. Such content may not be reproduced, modified, distributed, or republished without permission beyond the scope permitted by law.
Concerns regarding an infringement of rights may be submitted through the contact channel in Article 15.
The Operator may revise this Policy in response to changes in the Service, external services, or applicable laws and regulations. The revised Policy will be made available on the Website or communicated by another appropriate method.
